Help your dog become a model citizen with our AKC Canine Good Citizen class! This program teaches essential skills like polite greetings, calm leash walking, and responding to basic cues in real-world situations. At the end of the course, your dog can take the official CGC test to earn their certificate and title. Perfect for building a strong foundation for therapy work or just ensuring your dog is a well-behaved companion!

Community Dog Walk

Polite Pups & Pastries
Join us for a fun and relaxed dog training event designed to help your pup practice calm behavior in a real-world setting! Group Training Class - Basic Obedience
Join our basic obedience group class to teach your dog essential commands like sit, stay, come, and leave it, while also working on good manners around other dogs and new people. This class is perfect for building a strong foundation in obedience and boosting your dog's confidence in social settings.

Heel Together Adoption Event
The Heel Together Academy allows dogs from HCSO Animal Services to "go to prison" at Avon Park Correctional Institution (AvPCI) to learn basic manners, obedience, and leash walking with inmate handler teams. Our currently available dogs will be at Pet Supermarket for a "meet and greet" adoption event.
Adoption fees are $125 and dogs will be able to go home when they have completed their training at AvPCI. Adoption inquiries should be directed to Animal Services at 863-402-6730
