Consultation

Are you interested in private dog training lessons at your home? Then you should sign up for a consultation! During this important initial visit, we can answer all of your questions and provide recommendations for training based on the needs of you and your dog. You will also receive a Welcome Folder to help you get started.

 

Private lessons are suitable introductory training for puppies. It is also suitable for the treatment of undesirable behaviors such as jumping on people, inappropriate elimination, pulling on leash, escaping, door bolting, digging, chewing household items, and more.

  • Location: Your home or chosen location.

Pet Manners at Home I

Have you recently introduced a puppy or new companion to your home? Are you a new pet owner or just feelling completely lost? This is the perfect package for you!

Whether you have a puppy or an adult, we designed this offer specifically so we could start with training from scratch and build a solid foundation.

INCLUDES:

  • In-person coaching appointments 1 hour each x 4
  • Learning 6 foundation cues: Sit, name game, leash up, go to crate/bed, go search, trade items
  • Introduce walking equipment (collar, harness, leash)
  • Learn how to prevent “resource guarding” and encourage trading items early
  • Potty training resources and discussion 
  • We will teach you basic training concepts and mechanic
  • Address common problematic behaviors such as nipping, chewing, and more.

  • Cost:  $295

  • Length: 4 in-person coaching appointments (60 minutes each)

Pet Manners at Home II

Have you recently introduced a new companion to your home? Or do you have a dog who is struggling with general house training and manners? This is the perfect package for you!
Whether you have a puppy, adopted an adult dog, or already have a dog who has no previous training we can help you teach them. We designed this offer specifically so we could start with training from scratch and build a solid foundation.
INCLUDES:

  • In-person coaching appointments 1 hour each x 5

  • Learning 7 foundation cues: Name response, lay down, stay, come, drop it, leave it, and “go to place” mat training

  • Introduction to loose leash walking

  • We will teach you basic training concepts and mechanics

  • Address common problematic behaviors such as jumping, nipping, chewing, and more.

  • Access to an online training guide with printable reference material

  • Cost:  $365

  • Length: 5 in-person coaching appointments (60 minutes each)

  • Location: Your home or chosen location.

Walking Etiquette

Does your dog already know all the basic skills but struggles with leash walking? Are you having a hard time teaching them to walk nicely on leash? This is the perfect package for you!

This package is specifically designed to address pulling on the leash while walking in the neighborhood and near the home. Learn how to make leash walking an enjoyable activity for you both!

INCLUDES:

  • In-person coaching appointments 1 hour each x 4

  • Build on known behaviors like sit, name response, and “go search” in new environments

  • Learn 6 new behaviors: front, heel, let’s go, stop, this way, uh oh! (180 turn)

  • Reinforce leash walking using fun training games

  • Distractions – what they are and how to work with them

  • Redirection – what is it and how does it work

  • Cost:  $310

  • Length: 4 in-person coaching appointments (60 minutes each)

  • Location: Your home or neighborhood (all sessions will be outdoors)

Social Manners

Does your dog have a good grasp on things at home but lose their manners in new places? Are you struggling to get their attention around new people and new things? This is the perfect package for you! Whether you have a puppy or an adult, we designed this offer specifically so we could start with training from scratch and build a solid foundation.

This offer is designed to give specialized attention to going to different locations, and seeing lots of people, things, and dogs. Dogs learn things in small steps so it can be difficult to go from easy, boring home environments to busy, noisy stores or sidewalk environments. Let us show you how to make it easy for your dog!

INCLUDES:

  • In-person coaching appointments 1 hour each x 4
  • Each appointment will meet at a DIFFERENT location
  • Practice known behaviors in new locations
  • Work with a variety of distractions and environments
  • Excellent for generalizing and fine-tuning training.
  • Locations might include but not limited to: dog parks, sidewalks, walking trails, dog-friendly stores, and dog-friendly restaurants or bars with appropriate seating.

  • Cost:  $325

  • Length: 4 in-person coaching appointments (60 minutes each)

  • Location: Visit a new dog-friendly location each week.

Introducing New Equipment

Does your dog struggle to get acquainted with new equipment? Are you chasing them around to put on their new harness, muzzle, or boots? Do they hide when you take out the nail clipper or brush? This package is designed to teach your dog to truly embrace their equipment or grooming routines.

 

INCLUDES:

  • In-person coaching appointments 1 hour each x 5

  • We start from the beginning by showing your dog their new equipment

  • Learn about reinforcement history and how it applies to new equipment

  • Introduce the sounds and sensations associated with the equipment

  • Add steps to the process, make it more difficult gradually.

  • Complete the process and learn to add duration.

  • Introduce leash, collar, harness, shoes, nail trimmer, nail grinder, ear cleaning, brushing, or wearing a muzzle.

  • Cost:  $370

  • Length: 5 in-person coaching appointments (60 minutes each)

Pawtner Support Club

Complimentary Microchip Scanning

At Brook's Dog Training Academy, we are dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families. We offer a free microchip scanning service to help identify found pets. Our process includes checking the microchip ID against a publicly available database to determine the microchip company and assist in reporting the found pet. Additionally, we provide microchip checks during other scheduled services to ensure that your pet’s chip is active and functioning properly. Regular scans can help identify any issues, as chips can shift or malfunction over time. Contact us if you find a lost dog or simply ask for a microchip check during your regular scheduled services.
